In the spectacular Cossack tradition, this Ukrainian song and dance ensemble presents a rich tapestry of music, song and dance. Featuring 60 performers - consisting of choir, dancers and folk orchestra - this Adelaide-based troupe reflects the strength of Ukrainian culture in South Australia. Named for the spreading chestnut trees that line the streets of Kiev, Kashtan were formed in 1989 and have since toured the Ukraine and performed in many major multicultural festivals throughout Australia.
Kashtan appears with the support of Foundation SA.
