Their music has been described as a swinging Arnhem Land blend of Hendrix, Neil Young and didgeridoo. A hot new sound on the airwaves, the Sunrize Band's songs reveal the essence of their tribal lands, their people and their heritage. The band's name comes from the Aboriginal Dreamtime legend which sees the two women creators emerging from where the SunRizes, where they made the rivers, the creeks, the people's traditional names, ancestral beings and Aboriginal totems. Their music is infectious, heartfelt and always memorable.
