An outstanding nine-piece son band from Havana, Sierra Maestra are the finest and most popular ensemble performing in the Spanish Caribbean today. They are the only group playing in the old-style line-up - tres, guitar, trumpet, bongo, guiro and vocals - of the halcyon '20s and '30s. Now touring the world, their aim is to revive this most popular Cuban music: intoxicating, vigorous, delightful and immensely passionate.
